Unique Workflows
The Seguro platform was designed from the ground up to be closely integrated with mobile and cloud platforms, which makes it ideal for valuable workflows that aren't capable with traditional temperature tags. There are many possibilities, but the ones used most often are the checkpoint feature and "finish on next tap".
Checkpoints
For instance, our shipment monitoring tags provide a checkpoint function, which allows a user to get up-to-date temperature history and add important information to the recording with a simple tap of a smartphone. A typical application is palletized shipments, which can be checked at the receiving dock, or even while they're still on the truck, by simply tapping the tag. There's no need to even take it out of the waybill envelope. If the temperature history shows no excursions, the pallet can be received and sent to the warehouse. The temperature tag can continue to be used to monitor the temperature of the pallet until depalletization, giving a complete temperature record over the lifetime of the pallet, with appropriate checkpoints.
Finish on Next Tap
This shipment monitoring option, as the name implies, indicates that the recording should be marked as completed the next time the tag is tapped with a smartphone. This is invaluable in last mile deliveries, where the receiver has no time, interest, or training to tap buttons on a web page. With this option set, the sender receives the temperature history at the same time as it is displayed for the receiver. And, of course, it's all stored in the cloud automatically.
